The post-season - how to get it right
Who is the athlete with 'Smith' on his New Zealand tri-suit? Kind of looks like me doesn't he?
Well it has been a while but I finally have a few minutes to put pen to paper. I should be at the Lido but my first cold in years has me sitting at home instead. Matt Dixon of Purple Patch Fitness is a fantastic coach whose principles and ideas make a lot sense to me...
Review - Triathlon World Championships Auckland
Apologies, I have been a little distracted by the natural beauty of the Bay of Islands since leaving the ITU Triathlon World Championships and Auckland behind on Tuesday. If you have not yet checked out the highlights of the men's and women's elite races they are worth a look.
Well done on another fantastic Aquathlon!
The plaudits have been rolling in since Sunday, and they are well deserved: well done to our Events Coordinator and Race Director, Shahab on organising a fantastic race! And thank you very much to our marshals, without you the race cannot have been such an amazing success. The weather was very kind to us, and we repaid it’s faith in us tenfold: I will never get tired of people telling me what a great club we have and what a fantastic show we put on - take a bow team.
Congratulations to all the athletes who took part, there were some super quick times across the board. Well done to all the LFTCers who took part, you certainly answered the call to arms and I cannot wait to see where we are in the London League standings after Kath Braiser, Ellen Greaves, Harry Myers and Cecily Turner came third, first, first and third in their respective categories. Ellen took the overall female honours accompanied by Danny Russell, who finished the 400m swim and 5km run in under 23 minutes!
